- October 2005 - L.S Lowry visited Pulteneytown in 1936, it is believed that he was accompanying his aunt on a tour of Scotland. In memory of this we have launched the “Visit Pulteneytown” poster , Lowry did!

- September 2005 - Doors Open Day. Part of Scottish Archaeology Month celebrations the Doors Open Day Evening event focused on the Black Stairs. More >
- May 2005 - The Continental Market came to Wick, Market Square on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 26th - 29th May. This was part of the continuing Bicentennial Celebrations of Thomas Telford’s Pulteneytown encouraging visitors to the area and the ongoing restoration works in Lower Pulteneytown which are supported by The Heritage Lottery Fund.

- September 2004 - Doors Open Day, during Scottish Archaeology month up to 1000 people enjoyed "Wick, A Light in the North" an Evening Lantern Parade which focused on the New Media Art Works and the Heritage Trail. More >
- August 2004 - Caithness welcomed The Continental Market, on 27th, 28th and 29th August. After a blustery start, weather improved for the weekend and ensured the traders and customers had a great time, the market will be returning to Wick Thursday 26th - Sunday 29th May 2005.
