September 2005 - Doors Open Day

Re-enactment of gathering on the Black Stairs Part of Scottish Archaeology Month celebrations the Doors Open Day Evening event focused on the Black Stairs, with music from Caithness Big Band, a preview of dance from Wick Youth Club girls and after a lantern parade to Argyle Square with the Marrellian Majorettes, there was a further tribute to L..S. Lowry as the children from the MAASK breakfast and after-school club sang “Match stalk Men and Match stalk Cats and Dogs” to an appreciative crowd enjoying mulled wine prepared by the Argyle Square Residents association and a screened display of old Johnston photographs by the Wick Society.
