FUNDING

THI Heritage Lottery Bid was approved in January 2003. Funding has now been allocated to the final round of projects which will be completed during 2007 and 2008.

The THI has considered Funding for Projects towards Repairs and the Reinstatement of Architectural Detail, and those Projects bringing vacant space back into use as well the quality infilling of sensitive gap sites.

Grant awards of £ 2.17M have been allocated towards a total investment of £4.48M within the THI area.

The THI is now in its final year but the regeneration work will continue through to 2011 by way of a Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme supported by Historic Scotland. Financial assistance may be available throughout the Wick Pulteneytown Conservation Area for conservation minded external repairs and for bringing vacant and underused properties back into economic use.
